Shocking Colorful Hooks

One common factor in viral threads is the use of Shocking Colorful Hooks.

These trick works across platforms. It doesn't matter if you use text-based platforms like X, LinkedIn, Threads or video-based platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram Reels, or YouTube Shorts.

If you do this right, the post or video explodes.

The trick?

Use Colorful Hooks.

They look something like this:

"Holy shit... this is unbelievable"

"WTF this is actually insane"

"What the hell. This is gobsmackingly good."

"No fucking way... This is.. OUTRAGEOUS... EGREGIOUS... PREPOSTROUS"

You have to use them at the start of your posts.

It doesn't matter if its video or text. You only have 5 seconds before people scroll through your posts. Make it as insane as possible.

The caveat with using this is that the content must be actually shocking.

You can check how Mr.Beast does this. Or you can spot this in wild when the next AI event happens and how all influencers use the hooks. They aren't dummies. They use these tricks to hook people into reading their thread.

If enough people read their thread, like it and the content actually delivers, then the algorithm gets a good signal which gives them a bigger boost.

Make sure to use it sparringly when its actually shocking so you don't lose the trust of your audience. Otherwise it would become like the boy who cried wolf.

Note that you need some form of distribution for this to work. It doesn't work if you have <1k or <10k followers with a few exceptions.

A tool to Create AI images with character consistency

Render Net creates AI images with character consistency. The worlds about to get weird.

In the near future, there will be influencers that don't exist but look real. You won't be able to spot fake from real. That's how good AI will get.

This video covers the basics of Twitter/X by someone who has over ~150k followers. No fluff. Only gold.

Top Tweets of the day

When Douyin (Chinese TikTok) was exploding, they would make influencers using Click Farms. This is how you manipulate the algorithm for cheap. Your favorite influencer has used these tricks in their early days.

The masterclass video above on X mentions that he paid $6k per month at one time to get more followers and sales. Don't underestimate the power of having money to invest in growth to make more money.

Whoever came up with the brand name knows a thing or two about brand names. What a genius name. There is a lot of power in having brandable domain names if the product delivers.

Rabbit Holes

  1. Introducing GTM AI: How to Go from GTM Bloat to Velocity - Copy AI's pivot ever since ChatGPT released was a sight to see. Their entire landing page changed and this is the blog that outlines how they are approaching the new landscape of AI.

  2. How can I identify my competitor's most engaging ads in ad libraries? - Everything that works is literally in front of you. Just open your eyes and learn to reverse-engineer to steal the playbook from your competitors. Most growth teams advise founders to sign up for their competitors using their friend’s credit cards to see their competitors’ funnel without getting caught. Always cover your tracks by having better OPSEC unless you want your competitor to shout you out on social media.

  3. Dielleza's struggle to grow her X account and build TweetPeek - When you have a decent API, people build interesting products on top of it. TweetPeek is an interesting product that actives smartfollows. Turns out, even in 2024, follow for follow works. Cliché's are cliché's for a reason.
