Volatility of Social Media

People often forget the problems with Social Media Sites.

Right now, Google is only sending traffic to huge domain authority sites with tons of backlinks so everyone thinks Social Media is the solution but its stupid to base your entire strategy on Social Media without backups.

For starters, Social Media accounts can disappear on a whim.

You can get banned for a very cheap price. There are marketplaces out there that can ban someone's account within days.

But there are other things that you should consider if you only have 1 Social Media account with no backup.

Rule 1

Always funnel your followers towards other channels whether it be a newsletter or Telegram/Discord community.

This way you can get up and running with your new account with days or weeks.

Rule 2

Avoid getting too controversial.

You can get controversial to get eyeballs but it reduces your future earning potential unless you can spin a positive PR to your story.

Andrew Tate is a prime example who went too controversial to make money. Now, posting Tate videos on TikTok get you no views or get you shadowbanned.

That's because no advertiser wants to associate themselves besides Tate's content.

Branding works via association. It connects something familiar with something new.

So if you associate yourself with negativity for a long time, people will assume you are negative.

There's a reason Apple doesn't allow villains to use their iPhone in movies.

Sounds stupid I know but that's how people associate things. And even algorithms do the same as algorithms are based on "how would a human find this valuable?" query.

For example, Iman Gadzhi keeps talking about rich billionaires in all his videos so you associate him with them.

Branding Via Association

And the same goes for Algorithms. Keep replying to bigger accounts so the algorithm is trained to associate your content with high-profile accounts.

Rule 3

Don't go on a link spamming spree on Social Media.

This is a good lesson as a creator as well as a reply guy.

If you keep linking to your content under people's replies, you will get blocked or muted. I'm speaking from experience.

Fun Fact: If someone mutes you on X, you can repost one of their tweets and it will show up as a deleted tweet. Yet another way is to see their @ handle isn't clickable or hoverable if someone tagged them.

You also shouldn't link out too much on Social Media under every reply.

I do it all the time and need to tone it down as it looks like a link spam.

The Research Tool From The Future

Cubby is a private workspace to store files & links, annotate your content, and synthesize with AI.

This might be the most insane research tool I've seen using AI. Just does the obvious things in one place. And their marketing video is funny af.

Extremely useful tool for creators who consume stuff from different places so they can collect notes easily.

This video gives a demo of how Anthropic's Console can be used. It even showcases generating a prompt from a simple description.

But the best use is the Customer Support example. Pieter Levels has automated his entire customer support using AI.

AI can manage all the easy support queries while relaying the complex ones to a human support agent. Now, instead of 10 human customer support agents, you probably only need 1 human plus 1 AI Agent at 1/10th the cost.

Perfect products are not created, they are edited.

Its not a game of addition, rather a game of subtraction.

Rabbit Holes

  1. Your Guide to Building an AI Travel Consultant - The future of AI is building small things like this. Unless you are a travel expert, AI Travel Consultant would do a much better job at letting you go wherever you want. And this doesn't have to stop at AI Travel Consultant.

  2. The Unbundling of ChatGPT - "There are only two ways to make money in business: One is to bundle; the other is unbundle." Unbundling of Craigslist made many billion-dollar unicorns. And the emergence of ChatGPT killed many startups badly. Jasper AI and Copy AI had to pivot their entire copywriting business thanks to ChatGPT.

  3. TikTok Slides Spam = 💰 - What works on one platform, eventually comes onto another platform. Slides or Carousels work like crazy on LinkedIn. Now they work on TikTok and absolutely print. All big tech shamelessly copy features from one another so if your old content was specifically made for that feature, then you can use it for the same feature on a newer platform. In this case, use content from LinkedIn Carousels on TikTok Slides.
