Stealing from Adjacent Industry
Take a format from 1 industry.
And use it in another industry.
TLDR newsletter curates 5 stories per day in a short 2-minute read.
You get the biggest stories from the tech world every day in a short read. TLDR has 1.25 million newsletter subscribers.
Fireship replicated the format on YouTube with its own twist aka 100-second videos.
You get high-intensity coding tutorials in 2 minutes. Fireship has 3 million YouTube subscribers.
You can replicate the same thing across podcasts. Nobody's got time nowadays.
You can create a Podcast titled Marketing in 100 seconds or Psychology in 100 seconds and shoot 2-3 examples every episode.
The format would be simple:
Explain the topic
Example #1 (Simple example)
Example #2 (Advanced example in an unrelated industry)
Example #3 (Made up example)
And it would be an instant hit if you know how to go viral.
Next time, you see an idea in another industry, don't forget to swipe.
There's no point in copying people from your own industry when you can easily copy from another industry.
Indian filmmakers have copied Korean filmmakers (I Saw The Devil) for years and a few built their entire careers that way.
And this is true across cultures. Your favorite filmmakers like Quentin Tarantino are open about their inspirations. If you watch older movies, you will find his influences.
When George Lucas created his Star Wars movies, he borrowed a lot from Flash Gordon and other space serials of the 40s and 50s.
Filmmakers steal from either old books or old movies because no one really watches that stuff.
Stealing from adjacent industries is similar. But don't forget to steal like an artist.

Reverse Contact is a Reverse Email Lookup for Businesses.
You get to gather real-time contact and company data from an email address.
While cold approach is good, this is much easier to convert someone if you are selling a SaaS or even for writing a newsletter.
For example, for a growth hacking newsletter like Startup Spells, you can:
Grab all emails and put them in Reverse Contact
Get info on the company data
Sell them a consultation or get a sponsorship
It is easier to sell to a warm audience (someone who already knows and likes you) than a cold audience.
One recommended video on Indexing your YouTube videos with ChatGPT
This video shows you a sneak peek into the future of ChatGPT.
Turns out, you can rank your YouTube videos easily on ChatGPT.
And this is good news because Apple Intelligence (AI) has partnered with Open AI so all iPhone users will have ChatGPT where they ask the chatbot simple questions.
And you will be able to rank #1 if you watch the video.
Imagine, someone searches for seo agency on ChatGPT and your agency shows up as #1. You can do it for anything really.

X Playbook breakdown doesn't get any simpler than this.
There are a few tricks to improve upon this strategy but it covers most of it pretty well.
Don't sleep on X. UGC Platforms are the future. And X Long Form has started to rank. I’ve seen a #10 spot of X Long Form on Google today.
Rabbit Holes
Search Lores - 99% of people don't know how to search. This site has way too much sauce about search.
Extracting Concepts from GPT-4 - The greatest skill right now is using GPT-4 to get what you want. It can do almost anything if you know how to use it.
This DR 0 site gets 174K monthly visitors!? - Sites with 0 Domain Rating but incredible monthly traffic are a great resource to learn from.
Until next time,
