Riverside FM's Dwell Time Using Free Transcription Service
Riverside FM is a studio-quality recorder. They record audio and video tracks separately for each participant using their local recording technology which results in higher quality audio than their competitors.
It is extremely useful for podcasts. You can listen to a podcast if the video is in lower quality but you can't listen to a podcast if the audio is in bad quality.
Riverside FM also provides a free transcription tool. It transcribes audio & video to text with 99% accuracy.
Many similar apps charge to do the same thing but Riverside does it for free.
The transcription service is a useful tool for podcasters as they are useful to provide accurate captions on videos (far better than YouTube's automatic captions) or can be used as a standalone blog for SEO purposes.
A tool like this essentially increase Dwell Time on a website.
βIn SEO, dwell time is the amount of time a user spends on a webpage before returning to the search engine results page (SERP). It's a metric that indicates user engagement and content relevance, and can impact rankings. For example, longer dwell times may suggest that the content effectively meets the user's search intent.β
Dwell Time as a metric is important for SEO. There are many ways to increase dwell time like writing long-form content, embedding videos on a page, and by adding a comment section so people keep reading the comments but a simple tool that increase time spent on site is a great way to increase Dwell Time.
A tool that processes audio or video files definitely takes a lot more time than other simpler tools.
Dwell Time isn't just important for SEO but it is quite a factor on Social Media Algorithms as well.
Turns out, if you see a tweet on X, click the person's profile, and spend a few seconds scrolling through their tweets then it simply pushes them more and more on the platform.
Click On X Profile and Stay For 10 Seconds
want me to blow your mind?
look at my follower count and then scroll down to my first tweet...
let me know what you realize

Twitter/X Dwell Time Spent On Profile
It kind of makes sense because you wouldn't spend time on someone's profile unless they had tweeted something interesting in your niche.
There's a reason why Twitter Gurus say don't repost other people's content, keep your feed clean at all times, do not tweet outside of your niche. And most importantly, delete tweets that don't get great engagement to increase tweets with alpha so people spend more time on your profile scrolling.
This makes your profile to get pushed to more people under Users You Should Follow Tab.
It feels like Google Algorithm is the OG and everyone follows Google's principles for their own platforms.
Twitter's Algorithm is already confirmed but you can extrapolate the same idea to other platforms.
Signal Boy improves your Social Rankings by sending likes and followers from real people on Social Media.
Everyone thinks SEO and Social Media work in silo but they don't. Network as a Mental Model works the same in Real Life as it does on the Internet.
For a relatively new site, Social Signals are the fastest way to improve trust among users. Smart SEOs use this to improve your backlink profile, increase CTR, and send behavioral signals to search engines.
