MemoryGPT was the ChatGPT Plugin that went viral on X with its launch tweet and amassed 40k+ users worldwide.
This is crazy!!
Introducing: MemoryGPT 🤯
It’s ChatGPT but with long term memory. It will remember the things you say and will be able to personalize your conversation based on that.
Currently polishing this and working on a better UI. Will open up to testing on Tuesday.

It was built 365 days before OpenAI implemented long-term memory into ChatGPT.
It went viral for 3 reasons:
1. Simple naming strategy
The tagline was "MemoryGPT is like ChatGPT with long term memory"
The name itself is all you need to know to understand what the product is all about.
The simple name helped a lot in virality and adoption.
The actual naming of the product "MemoryGPT" couldn't have been more simpler.
Goes to show the power of good domains.
2. Obvious idea
Often people think complex is better.
But sometimes the best ideas are often the easiest ideas.
There must've been countless people who gave up on the idea because it seemed so simple that OpenAI might launch it and kill it in the future.
But people forget that AI wrappers make millions before they die.
3. Engagement hack
Look up the launch tweet.
The founder asked 1 simple question at the end of the tweet: "Who wants to try this? 👇"
This was intentional.
It was enough to blow up the engagement because the more comments you get, the more reach you get and the cycle continues.
Hat Tip to Rik, the founder of MemoryGPT who gave behind the scenes info.

Steno is a beautiful app. Probably the slickest UX I've seen. Definitely check out the demo on the landing page as its absolutely brilliant.
It works beautifully so you don't have to type so much. You can avoid getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome by using your voice. But don't talk too much unless you want your voice to become like Tony Robbins' voice.
One recommended video on Leaked Google Ranking Factors
This video covers the leaked ranking factors of Google in the simplest terms.
For years, Google's spokespersons gave conflicted advice on what actually ranks. Every SEO worth its salt knew they were lying but 1000s of business owners were dumb enough to believe the spokespeople.
Now, the truth has come forward after millions of small businesses were killed overnight.
Backlinks matter. Chrome data matters & its tracked. Google Sandbox exists for new sites.
Tweet of the day
so @thesamparr and I get a ton of emails per day, well Sam does at least, and most are so spammy.
every now and then 1 stands out. Today @RecordsGeek sent this - gotta say it caught my attention.

With AI Avatars, this will be a crazy growth strategy if you know what to do 😜
Rabbit Holes
Budget Doesn’t Matter - A good reminder that time spent on something doesn't mean the results will be huge. Sometimes a video you made in 10 minutes can go viral and sometimes a video you spent 10 months on can flop.
How to leverage Reddit as a growth mechanism for an open-source product - Reddit is underrated for promotion. There are still people who don't use it to promote their stuff. Its the one platform that isn't that hard to game. Bonus point about Reddit is any niche you can think of has a specific subreddit for it.
Why Elon Musk is the PR Genius of the Twenty-First Century - Elon Musk is definitely a PR Genius. He knows how to get talked about. Remember the time when the Cybertruck's window broke through when it wasn't supposed to? Was that accidental or planned? All I know is it got a bunch of PR. As the old saying goes, "bad publicity is still publicity."
Until next time,
