JK Molina calls it The Paint Shop Method.
The Paint Shop Method
1. The Concept
Content creation is like a paint shop. Other people's content is the car, and you're the paint shop.
You're not stealing the car, you're giving it a new look.

2. The Process
Find successful content from competitors, especially posts with high engagement.

Take their idea and give it your own spin. The result should look and feel different from the original.
Open AI's o1 Thread
All AI Influencers tweet similar content while adding their own take. This happens across platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube, and it's the same for news sites too.
The Paint Shop method isn't about stealing content. It's about filtering content through your unique perspective.
This approach helps you create engaging content without starting from scratch. It allows you to stay relevant in your niche and gives you a framework for consistent content creation.
Remember, the goal is to add value and present ideas in a fresh way. Always give credit where it's due and make sure your remixed content is original enough that nobody knows your sources. In short, steal like an artist.

Subject lines
My best subject lines are clickbaity and designed to either make it seem like I'm a potential client, tie directly to the offer, or simply catch their attention.
I vary the subject lines for each of my campaigns, but these are my go-to options:

"Approach as a potential client" works wonders on me to get the click.

When something is new in the algorithm, there is a massive opportunity (and a tiny time-window) to exploit it.

DONT GIVE OUT FREE TRIALS! (early stage founders!)
I used to think giving out free trials would be great. I gave out a bunch of them for Founders Cafe and a bunch of Stanford/Harvard students signed up.
Great right? WRONG!

Free trials are phenomenal post-PMF. They attract the wrong audience pre-PMF.
Get customers, not users.
Rabbit Holes
GTM AI Platform vs. AI Point Solutions - Copy AI had an amazing rebrand and went from servicing B2C to Enterprises. The company saw impressive growth in its Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), with increases of 34% in July 2024 and 20% in August 2024. The pivot was genius despite the old domain name being related to copywriting.
Generate revenue with a weekly or bi-weekly webinar event - I've always thought of webinars as stupid but apparently they work. Trying a new SaaS is hard. Webinars help with educating the exact target audience with just an hour of their time. If it saves them 10 hours per week, then it makes sense to attend an hour long webinar. Copy AI did countless webinars despite having one of the easiest SaaS to use during 2020-21 to get more customers.
Getting more customers off Reddit - Reddit is a phenomenal way to get customers. Don't sleep on it. It will be mainstream soon enough for promotions. Savvy marketers are already using it.
Until next time!
