How To Land Clients Without Pitching
Clipwing is a SaaS that transforms long-form videos into 10 short-form clips, helping content creators expand their reach across multiple platforms.
They also have a video-editing agency, which charges $2.5k+ monthly, acquired clients through a simple yet effective strategy by doing permissionless work.
What is Permissionless Work?
As Jack Butcher says: "If you want to catch the attention of someone you admire, give yourself a job working for them."
This means creating value for potential clients before they even hire you.
The Clipwing Strategy
Clipwing targeted influential personalities on X (formerly Twitter) and transformed their YouTube content into engaging short-form videos - all without asking for permission first.

Clipwing's success demonstrates how creating value upfront and showcasing your work publicly can attract high-value clients.

The Permissionless Strategy is a tried-and-tested strategy to make the agency playbook work.

Every year, I spend millions of dollars launching new product categories. It’s how we found the wildly successful men’s engagement ring business, or our insanely popular luggage line.
But maybe 1/5 of these launches work…

An update on my AI avatar that's taken over my social media video content:
The account has grown to 48.4k followers and racked up 7 million+ views.
But the most interesting insight from this experiment hasn't been the growth, it's been the *unexpected* near-zero backlash.

AI Avatars are here. You don't even have to use your own face to do videos anymore. You can now be just online-famous.
You can use a unique AI generated face with an AI clone and do short-form videos to go viral.
Currently, it takes more time to do them well than human recording to adjust for pitching and tonality but its just a matter of months before it becomes flawless.

there is no reason to use OpenAI for speech-to-text unless you like paying more to get less
the Groq SDK is basically a copy paste of the OpenAI one so supereasy to switch to it aswell
