Dara Denney's YouTube Comment Section Hack
Dara Denney recently shared a video on YouTube titled The 16 Human Desires That Make Ads Convert (and Make You Money).
In the video, Dara directly asked viewers to comment about their brands, promising a personalized response based on her understanding of the 16 human desires.
Dara Denney's Comment Hack
Her specific call to action was clear with a visual in the video at 13:13 mark: "for everyone who comments on this YouTube video I promise to respond with the human desires that I think would be best for your brand."
This wasn't just a generic request for comments; it was an offer of personalized advice, tapping into a deep need for tailored solutions.
As she stated in the video, "My POV on this is again the answer isn't immediately obvious it depends a ton on your audience, your product, and the emotional triggers that resonate the most with your customer."
This strategy worked like a charm. By positioning herself as an expert and offering free value, she successfully engaged her audience.
The comment section exploded, with 125 comments on the video and another 40 on her pinned comment.
This surge in engagement is particularly significant when compared to her usual videos, which typically receive less than 20 comments. This shows the power of a targeted and personalized approach.
This hack has 2 major benefits:
First, it dramatically increased engagement on her video via the comment section.
YouTube Comments
Second, and perhaps more importantly, it offered valuable, free advice to potential future clients.
The personalized insights were not generic; they were tailored to each brand that was mentioned, drawing on her in-depth knowledge of the 16 human desires, and in return, people in the comments got an example of how to use the 16 human desires.
Personalized Advice
This looks insignificant but do this enough times and you'll find potential clients easily. For example, someone with a skincare brand reading the comments section might directly DM Dara for their help if they have more money than time to give. She has already delivered value in the video and the comment section.
Besides, everyone knows someone. So when you offer free help to someone, you instantly become more likeable. And when you are on top of the list of someone's Facebook Ad Expert for E-Commerce, then you are the ones they will send people to. I did a similar thing on Reddit just one time and got DMs for days and a lot more months later as it ranked high on top of the month.

Here’s a hack many of us have used to get to 5M impressions fast, fast, fast:
Reply to creators who are popular amongst unverified users!
That Premium reply boost gives you a leg up - your reply will always appear near the top of the reply section because there is less… x.com/i/web/status/1…

Genius X Hack that probably applies to other social networks that have become pay to play.
Reply to the creators who are popular among unverified users like musicians, celebs, etc... so you get more reach if you pay for them as your reply will be above the unverified ones.
Once you get more impressions, the algorithm thinks of you as a big deal. Once you are a big deal, you get lots more impressions.
It is similar to achieving status through connections. Kim Kardashian got famous by being a friend of Paris Hilton. Kim's whole family got famous through Kim.

This reply said it all: "He didn’t lose anything. He might as well bring up all the times he didn’t die because he didn’t walk in front of a bus."

I don’t think any startup should announce a seed round
Too easy to copy things in the early days
Too much capital is flowing into the market right now
Doesn’t give you that much of a recruiting or sales advantage in the early days— Jason Shuman (@JasonrShuman)

The genius of building in a space where you don't have funding and your competitors have funding is 2 things:
It has a bigger TAM (total addressable market) so by nature you can offer cheaper pricing for the same product and convert customers from your competitors
The TAM is not big enough so your competitors die leaving the market to you. Basically, they educate the market and you cash out on them.
Announcing Seed Round is anti-signal nowdays if you have some amount of capital to deploy.
Just 1:1 copy their strategies.
Samwer brothers 2.0 will definitely happen with AI increasing 10x productivity.
The cloners who can clone fast will have 10-100 apps now.
