Avni Barman's LinkedIn Content Strategy
Avni Barman, previously Product Manager at Atlassian, grew her newsletter from 0 to 70,000 subscribers in 8 months while simultaneously growing her LinkedIn to 27,000 followers.
Avni Barman's TikTok Profile
According to Avni, LinkedIn is a place full of aspiring entrepreneurs, B2B professionals, and career-focused individuals.
Startup Ideas Podcast host Greg Isenberg and My First Million hosts Shaan Puri and Sam Parr learned the same thing.
Aspiring entrepreneurs are a much bigger market than successful entrepreneurs.
And with AI taking away millions of jobs, this is bound to grow.
Cody Schneider gives an incredible breakdown on Greg Isenberg's move of changing his podcast name from "Where It Happens" podcast to "Startup Ideas" podcast.
greg eisenberg just changed his podcast name and it's the most gangster business move ive seen in 2024 so far
here's why

Since the target audience is much different, the strategy must be different too.
So Avni used LinkedIn in a much different way than other platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and X.
On Instagram and TikTok, she gives away all her actionable tips step-by-step.
She thinks of X as the place where greatest entrepreneurs of our century spend their time on. Like Elon Musk, Sam Altman, and World's Biggest Leaders are on X.
On LinkedIn, it is a place for professionals, mainly employees who are aspiring entrepreneurs.
But on LinkedIn, she doesn't give away all her secrets.
Her formula for LinkedIn success can be broken down into 4 steps:
Shocking hook addressing pain points of 3 archetypes:
B2B Person trying to grow in their career
Aspiring Entrepreneur
Someone trying to level up and make more money in their job
Tactical, actionable steps (Here's how to solve a problem)
Give 90% of solution in post
Offer last 10% through email signup
She says you can go viral with just #2 but people won't convert to follow you or subscribe to your newsletter from LinkedIn.
To convert someone to follow you, you have to give 90% of solution in the post and then add suspense to it.
Its like watching a thriller movie for free but the last 30 minutes of the movie are hidden behind a paywall.
This pisses some people off but those who really want it will subscribe to you.
If you look at her TikTok @avnibarman_, she shows you exactly how she does it.
Avni Barman's TikTok Series
She's putting the same piece of content on her LinkedIn as well.
Any smart short-form video creator is puttng their content on 5 different platforms because it is the first-time in history that its easier to go viral on 5 different platforms using the same piece of content.
She talks real fast (or edits the video in such a way that there's no fluff) and always gives an incredible resource at the end of the video.
Avni Barman's Beacons AI Guide
She has 13 pieces of unique upsells (FREE) on her Beacons AI Page.
She made a video on how she quit her job and didn't know what to do after that so she followed a method on Odyssey planning and gave the entire rubric in the video itself but told the viewers that if they want to use the same rubric, they can download it for free by getting the template from her link in bio.
When they give their email, they get automatically subscribed to her newsletter.
With that 1 video, she gained 10,000 subscribers overnight. Erika Kullberg does a similar thing to get people to follow her on TikTok.
If you are working a job, definitely heed to Avni Barman's advice like getting a $40K raise using a 30-second strategy. To get promotion, its not always the hard work that wins, its the loud work that wins.
The crux of the matter is she has valuable insights and optimizes short-form in a way its meant to be optimized. Plus she targets the audience on every social platform in a way that's platform specific while providing upsells to convert followers into subscribers. And last but not least, the content she creates is super aligned to her niche of entrepreneurs.
A tool to Find Pricing of B2B Companies
Pricelevel tells you the pricing that companies charge that is hidden behind the "Contact Us" button.
This is extremely useful to find B2B SaaS products. Everyone knows B2B SaaS pays well but they don't know how to build a B2B SaaS.
PriceLevel has a good repository of B2B Ideas that charge an arm and a leg so you only need 1000 companies to build a $1m per month business.
One recommended video on Stealing Other People's Content (Ethically!)
This video shows you how to steal other people's content without getting caught.
All information is downstream of other information. There are far few original ideas out there. Everything is a rehash.

Start using voice dictations. You can talk faster than you can type no matter how fast you type.
It definitely takes skill to get used to talking about your topic of expertise as I've learned when I tried voice dictation for the 1st time.
Start using Voicenotes to record your ideas and getting summaries of your voice-to-text translation stored.
I was thinking the other day how will this work in office space. Then I realized we'll need single person office space when voice-mode goes fully mainstream. I give it 1 year but the smart ones are already using it.

if you google:
"site:linkedin .com {occupation} {area} @gmail.com"
it will give you a list of people with that occupation in a specific area that have an email in their bio
for example:
"site:linkedin .com real estate agent los angeles @gmail.com"
will output the emails of… x.com/i/web/status/1…
