5,000 Leads. One Clever Google Doc Upsell.

Stephen Kaag recently did a smart marketing tactic. He scraped data from 5,000 Skool Communities, added them to a Google Sheet, and invited people to request access by simply commenting on his post.

To follow up, he used an auto-DM tool, like those found in social media schedulers such as Tweethunter, Typefully, or Hypefury, to automatically DM everyone who responded to the original tweet with the comment.

The Google Doc contains a list of over 5,000 Skool Communities.

At the top, there's an upsell: a larger list of 15,915 Skool Groups.

While this strategy might not result in higher conversions for this particular use-case, it's a smart way to leverage social media engagement for upsells.

You can apply this "comment bait" technique to promote services, consulting offers, or even your own SaaS.

Most businesses only exist by instilling fear through marketing. Hosting providers like Vercel is one of them.

Developers buy hosting providers in the case that they will go viral one day and they don't want their server to be down with hopes that they can make a lot of money.

But there are only a few projects that can make a ton of money when they go viral.

In most cases, virality only brings lots of traffic, not money.

Use this simple trick to save money if you want to try a SaaS with custom pricing.

In many cases, it works even in E-Commerce if you try to "Add To Cart" but don't checkout.

3/

"Target a mediocre run mid sized business & totally change the way it functions from the bottoms up to reduce cost & decrease inefficiency."

Damn good way to tackle AI.

AI Wave presents opportunities similar to the App Store boom of 2008-2010 when even the simplest apps made millions.

Rabbit Holes

  1. 4 unconventional tactics to skyrocket LinkedIn growth - Unconventional tactics for LinkedIn growth, including systematic content-generation formulas.

  2. For Creators, Money is X-Rated - Education is a hard sell. Consumers want entertainment. And one niche in entertainment outsells education. There are literal apps selling world-class education from the world's best but they don't make enough profit.

  3. Their SaaS Is Making $23,000 Monthly By Taking On Google - Big companies don't always build better products because more often than not, their secondary products are just a rounding error for them. You can easily clone products from big tech if it is not their main product. For Google, Search, Android, and YouTube is their main product. Everything else is secondary.
