Hey,

The Spells Master is back!

Welcome to the 119th issue.

Today's topics:

  1. $1 per month community (130k+ members)

  2. A tool to Turn Unknown People On Your Website Into Customers

  3. One recommended video on The Kid Who Made $1M with ChatGPT

$1 per month community (130k+ members)

Hamza Ahmed currently has $107,654 MRR on his Skool Group, Adonis School.

But a few months ago, his strategy to stand out was legit good.

He made it to the all time list back in February.

Skool Leaderboards Adonis Gang

He priced his community to $1 per month. This is cheap for everyone but not free.

This simple hack made him stand out and got him to $144k MRR at one point with 144k members.

Pricing tricks like this stand out psychologically. You can either be too expensive ($999 or even $4999) or be very cheap ($1) or be a meme ($69) and it works for some reason.

Its like choosing the odd man out.

Years ago, I watched a video where a few girls were asked to choose between 8 different guys.

The 1st control group had all guys in beard except 1 guy who was without a beard.

The 2nd control group had all guys were clean shaven except 1 guy who had a beard.

The girls in both groups choose the odd one out.

In 1st control group, they choose the one without a beard.

And in 2nd control group, they choose the one with a beard.

Note: This was a YouTube video. I can't find it anymore so not sure if it was based on a scientific study or just pure observation. However, one of my friends (girl) told me once that women see beard as a sign of maturity nowadays.

When overwhelmed with choices, we like to pick the one that stands out.

When every guru was selling stuff online, Alex Hormozi used "I have nothing to sell you" and it worked. He gained 7.8 million followers in 40 months.

When everyone zigs, you zag.

After reading $100m Offers by Alex Hormozi, everyone started creating Irresistible Offers to pitch clients and the market got saturated with Irresistible Offers.

To stand out, you had to create an easy offer.

If a pick-up line gets too mainstream, it often becomes a repeller than an attractor.

The odd one out often stands out.

A tool to Turn Unknown People On Your Website Into Customers

Pearl Diver turns unknown people on your site into opportunities.

You can use this to find whales who are already on your website.

Best time to convert someone is within 5 minutes of their visit. Good sales teams are trained on this.

If you reply fast, you wow your customers and grow them fast. The best agency guy I talked to answered all my questions within 2-5 minutes.

This video covers the genius of the guy who made $1m with ChatGPT. It was pure marketing genius.

Think about a new tool (ChatGPT/Midjourney) or a new platform (Skool) that launched and see how you can make $1m from it.

There is always a way. Find it and exploit it.

Rabbit Holes

  1. Be Vanilla - The Dip by Seth Godin is a must-read. Fun Fact: Vanilla Icecream (#1) outsells Chocolate Icecream (#2) by a huge margin.

  2. The key to community — "10 True Regulars" - One thing about community is you have to keep delivering value. And to deliver value, you need to constantly do stuff or read stuff. Consumption is a prerequisite to creation. This is why the best communities consists of extremely successful entrepreneurs in the game. There are high net-worth communities like Hampton where only the wealthy hang out. Some communities even kick out members if they don't contribute for few weeks so no lurking is allowed.

  3. Claude prompt curation to use Claude better - At the moment, Claude is better than any LLM out there. There are rumours that GPT-5 is coming soon so it might dethrone Claude but currently, Claude is king.

Until next time,
