TikTok SEO: Rank in TikTok Search with Exact Keywords, Series Content & Spark Ads
A large share of younger users (>40%) initiate searches on TikTok or Instagram rather than on Google. The goal shouldn't be to only reach the For You page; the goal should be discoverability for specific intents (how-tos, local recs, product questions, niche communities).
When you treat TikTok like a search engine, the platform's behavior starts to click.
The Core Mechanic TikTok Gives You: The "Search Label" Check
TikTok provides an immediate feedback signal: when it understands your video as the answer to a query, a search title appears at the top of the post.
On a good match, TikTok displays a search title/label at the very top of your video (e.g., 'how to style curtain bangs'). This is TikTok's way of telling you, 'I've indexed this as that query.'
When TikTok can't confidently map your content, you'll see "Find related topics." That's a clear hint that you're off-target or under-optimized.
To achieve the right keyword mapping, repeat the exact phrase everywhere. Use the exact keyword (not just synonyms) in:
What you say out loud early in the video (speech-to-text matters).
The caption (front-load the exact phrase).
Hashtags (include the exact phrase; add 1–2 broader + 2–3 niche tags).
On-screen text (title card, lower-thirds, end card).
Thumbnail text (affects grid/search click-through).
Keyword Research Inside TikTok (Fast and Scrappy)
Here's a fast and scrappy way to do keyword research for TikTok:
Search your head term in-app; note autocomplete variants and view counts.
Look at top videos for that term; catalog the phrasing patterns they use (e.g., "in 2025," "for beginners," "near me," "on a budget").
Identify long-tails that signal intent (e.g., "best cafes in San Francisco for first dates" vs "best cafes in San Francisco").
Build a seed → cluster map:
Seed: "tiktok seo"
Clusters: "tiktok seo for small business," "tiktok seo checklist," "tiktok seo mistakes," "tiktok seo captions," etc.
Prioritize terms where you can show a clear outcome in less than 30–45 seconds.
A simple series structure is recommended to increase session depth (also known as the "rabbit hole"):
For each primary keyword, create Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 content.
End each part with an explicit nudge: "Tap my name → watch Part 2 pinned at the top."
Keep "Part X" in both the title text and spoken to help search and users connect the dots.
This boosts session time on your profile for that same keyword, reinforcing relevance.
Paid Keyword Capture (When and How to Spend)
Buy traffic on the exact keyword you're building the series around. Run TikTok Spark Ads on a creator's post (with their whitelist permissions) that has already achieved strong keyword alignment and early traction.
The creative stays native; the ad simply amplifies a piece TikTok already "believes" is the right answer for that query.
The "Pinning" Compounding Hack (With Creators)
Creators can pin up to three videos on their profile. If your whitelisted Spark post performs well:
Ask politely to pin it (a win–win: it signals their "greatest hits," and it provides evergreen distribution for you). One creator kept a brand's video pinned for 12 months after the ads stopped.
The benefit persists long after you stop spending—users visiting their profile will still see your video at the top.
At scale (100–1,000 creators), you create a distributed, always-on search surface for the same keyword family.

By upgrading the ChatGPT UI to GPT-5, OpenAI deliberately ended the coding use case in the UI. The 32k limit that the UI imposes makes it unusable for anything serious.
What's their strategy? That all coders will start using GPT-5 as an API with pay-per-token? This makes it too

Insane thing is Google allows you to upload 1 million tokens for free. And that's only possible because of its revenue sources from YouTube, Search, Ads, Android, Play Store.
Meanwhile ChatGPT can't give the house away for free forever. 32k tokens is insanely small.
