Giving very young kids access to real laptops with high ceiling video games is such a cheat code. My kids bootstrapped reading, math, spatial reasoning, etc, just because they had a *need* to do it since the carefully chosen games I've put them in front of *demand* it of them.

Games are good if you download the right ones.
His list includes: minecraft (crucially java ed plus mods), dot big bang, xplane 11, factorio, a few adventure games, the incredible machine, kidpix, algadoo
In the next 2-3 years, education will be transformed completely through gamification now that creating games is much easier.
My typing speed has been insanely fast and its mostly due to playing GTA in childhood. Most people have to take typing classes when they could just play games. Games are specifically made with keystrokes that are easy to use & closer to the hand so you can type faster. Its all well thought out.
Ofc balance is required as games are the easiest to get addicted.
